[this is good]

Thank you so much! This was fun!

The sole thought of having Mrs. Elton, Mary Crawford and Lucy Steele in such a state, is too much of a treat, even if these villainesses (is that a word?) lost to -am I to understand, Miss Thorpe?

Doesn't matter. The capacity of making Lucy cry for real definitely makes her VP material.

And hey, is that a cameo appereance of Miss Jane herself? An amusing thought, indeed!

Thanks again, Mags. See you around, hopefully.

Yes, the POV is Isabella Thorpe.

This actually was an entry in a contest to write a short story in 24 hours based on a certain prompt. The prompt was the fortune cookies all dolled up in the fancy box, if memory serves. And I think the first three bad fortunes might even have been given. I can't remember for certain. We received the prompt and then had 24 hours to write the story, so it was not exactly planned.

I don't know why I decided to use the Austen Bad Girls Club for this one. If the fortunes were given in the prompt, perhaps that's why--all that bad karma! I didn't win the contest, by the bye.

Hmmm... Perhaps the judges were expecting a glimpse of Miss Bingley, or Lady Susan? Nah, they would be too obvious targets.

I think it's fine as it is, since all these bad girls had us wondering for at least a few pages in their 'native' books. ;-)

Thanks for your replies - I hadn't seen anything new here or in Tilneys and Trapdoors for so long, that I didn't think it would be possible.

Seems like Austenblog has sucked the life out of the other blogs, which is a pity, because you have great stuff in them.

Hope to see more of you over here, soon.

Kath.
